WII messed up..

Nintendo Wii, according to me the most discussed topic on the blogosphere and every article related to this has been dugg so many times its all over hyped. But even i wanted to wirte on the record breaking console and finally here i am writing an article about an offer made by Nitendo after admitting a design flaw in this revolutionary console.

Nintendo sold a record 50,000 consoles at £179 each sold out in 12 hours when it went on sale in the UK and sets are fetching £600 on eBay as fans try to get hold of one for Christmas. Seems like a good business if you have one then just put it on ebay thrice the amount you spent for it. But if you are a gamer you wont settle for even ten times the amount right ?? i can understand that as i myself am addicted to consoles and other high end gaming machines (but i still dont have a Wii).

So let me come back to the news, well today Nintendo has made an amazing offer after admitting to a basic design flaw in its revolutionary Wii computer games console. The company says it will replace the wrist straps on all 3.2 million consoles sold worldwide. Actually the cutting edge technology that went into the must-have gadget has been let down by the fabric strap which is not strong enough for over-excited gamers.

I dont know what these gamers were doing with their console but nontheless many of them managed to smash their T.V screens when the strap breaks it sets the consoles flying from the hands of the gamers which also resulted in injuries.

A Nintendo spokesman said the new strap will be twice as thick and British customers should ring a special hotline - 0870 6060247 - for their replacement.

The offer is expected to cost the company several million pounds
